Illustrator Haley Hunt for The Little Rooster and Husband Charlie Hunt for Milkbarn Kids
Illustrator, Haley Hunt

Using playful, gauche paintings, Southern California artist and illustrator Haley Hunt provides a peek into dreamland in What Do Sheep Count?, one of seven children’s books illustrated for Milkbarn.  For many years, Haley’s sketches and drawings have played an integral part in Milkbarn’s one-of-a-kind prints. Haley and her husband, Charlie, make their home along the shores of San Diego, where she enjoys surfing, walks along the beach, and experimenting in the kitchen.

There always can be a different ending to the story you’ve been telling. You just have to follow that still, small voice inside of you. And do something to change it.

Rory Feek

One little sheep, then 2, then 3
And her eyes got as heavy as can be

4,5,6, seven, then eight
Then she sat up and said, “Papa wait!”
